White Light consists of different wavelengths of a color of light (red, blue, green, name it) all this wavelengths have different refractive indexes, therefore when they pass through a suitable medium, they split up to their constituent or separate form. Which are red, orange, yellow, blue, Indigo, and violet.
While raining, suspension of water molecules in the air refract light passing through them this then forms what we see as rainbows.
SO LETS GO GET OUR POT OF GOLD THEN
But the catch isn’t even the fact that there are no pots of gold at the end of rainbows getting to its end is the problem. As you change location, you move away from the water suspension causing the rainbow. Therefore, it begins to disappear. But even better than a pot of gold, you’ve got knowledge that will not leave you.
So the next time you see a rainbow think about the nature of light. Thank for reading.
